Dodge teachers, Bob Welch and Debbi Thompson, are participating in the “Get Energized!” professional development program offered by the Museum of Science and Industry. The program is year-long, and consists of a series of all day workshops. The content focus of the program is physical science. During each workshop, teachers are introduced to hands-on, inquiry-based science activities to bring back with them to their own classrooms. The program provides all the materials needed for students to complete the activities. A highlight of the program is a ‘no cost’ Learning Lab field trip for Dodge students at the Museum of Science and Industry.
